How it works:

We will submit a list of email addresses for all members to Election Buddy.  Voters receive an email notice to access the ballot, and the voting process is simple – click the access link, make your choices, verify your choices, and submit your ballot. Voters do not need an Election Buddy account to vote. You may click on the link in the email or copy and paste the address into your browser’s address bar. Either method will take you to the ballot for the vote. Please note that you must vote for five of the candidates in order to submit your ballot.

A Confirmation Page will be displayed once your ballot is submitted. You may write down or print your confirmation page as a record of your successful ballot submission. You will also receive your confirmation by email.

Each person has an individual access key.  If you forget your key or lose the email, contact us and we will supply you with a new key.  You can only vote once: your original key will be marked as “spoiled”.  Voting is secret and SSL encoded, and nobody including the administrator will be able to see your vote. We can see whether you have voted and can mark ballots as “spoiled” to prevent duplicate votes by mail.  Household members with a shared email address will receive two ballots, each with their name and a unique access key.

People without email addresses will have a ballot mailed to them.  In addition, any other member will be able to request a mailed ballot by clicking a box on either the Member’s website or the voting website. When a mailed ballot is received as verified by the return address on the outside envelope, the online ballot will be marked as “spoiled” whether it has been used or not.  Each voter will have only a single ballot counted, whether electronic or mailed. We encourage members to make use of the electronic option rather than relying on the USPS with the additional cost to the club.

Electronic ballots will be open 01/20/26 through 03/15/26.  Mailed ballots must be received (not postmarked) by the recording secretary by 03/16/26, so be aware of USPS mailing times.

After the election:

The “Vote Audit” report creates a vote that is observable and transparent, allowing voters the ability to verify that their vote was included in the voting results and was not tampered with between the time they voted and when the results were shared using their Confirmation Code.

Voters can view this report as part of results sharing. The “Vote Audit” lists a “Confirmation Code”. The confirmation code is a 15-character hash generated from the combination of a voter’s choices on the ballot and their Voter ID. A hash algorithm takes the voter’s ballot choices and Voter ID and translates that information into a series of numbers and letters. It is secure and cannot be worked “backwards” to show the original voter or selections.

Mail ballots will not be included in the Election reports, so will be tabulated separately with the final totals reported on the Member’s website.

Mary Sue Olcott

Nomination as a candidate for the CWCCA Board 2026

I am seeking another term on the Board of Directors because I am dedicated to the preservation, advancement, and protection of the Cardigan Welsh Corgi. My first term strengthened my understanding of the responsibilities and opportunities this role carries, and I am eager to continue serving our Club. I am committed to listening to our members, advocating for their interests, and supporting the long‑term health and future of our beloved breed.

Cassie Frank

As a second-generation dog breeder, Cassie began showing Australian Shepherds as a junior in ASCA prior to AKC recognition. She bred, raised and showed Aussies with her mother as Propwash Australian Shepherds, setting her eye to proper temperament, movement and structure. Years later in searching for a breed that would fit her life, the Cardigan offered the Australian Sheperd’s loyalty, quick thinking and work ethic but in a more compact package. The original intent was to have a companion dog but that quickly changed when GCH Telltail Poker Chip arrived. Chip renewed her interest in showing and eventually breeding dogs, as well as introducing her to some of the great mentors in the Cardigan breed.

In the years since then, she has shown and bred many Champions & Grand Champions as Tailwind Cardigans, many in partnership with Betty Ann Seely of Pecan Valley Cardigans.

Cassie has judged several of our breeds major Specialty events, as well as Sweepstakes at the CWCCA National and the prestigious Megan competition. Most recently she won this event at the 2025 CWCCA National with GCHS Hope on Hold Your Applause for Tailwind, over almost 100 other Specials judged by a panel of 3 breed judges. An AKC licensed judge she is continuing to actively add new breeds.

Currently Cassie serves as the 2026 JEC Chairperson for the CWCCA and has served as Grooming Chair for the past 7 years of Nationals

Gail LaBerge

Gail LaBerge Biography
CWCCA

My husband and I have owned and shown Cardigans since 1990.   We have titled dogs in Conformation, Agility, Obedience, Rally, Tracking, Scent Work, and are getting involved in herding. We have been members of CWCCA since 1990-1991.

As an active exhibitor presently showing our dogs in Conformation, Agility, Obedience and Rally, and training one of our dogs in Herding and Tracking, I feel I can bring an understanding of what our members see as concerns and also what our members would like to see available at our Nationals.

In the past I have been privileged to serve the CWCCA as President, 1st Vice-President, and at large Board Member. I currently Chair the CWCCA Specialty Search Committee and the CWCCA Legislative Committee.

In addition, my work in the following areas outside the CWCCA may be a benefit to the Club.

  • AKC Delegate for the Atlanta Obedience Club, Inc.  In this capacity, I chair the Delegate Standing Committee on Companion Events, and also Chair the Delegate Coordinating Committee.
  • Chair of the AKC Political Action Committee Board of Directors, which gives donations to candidates and officials nationwide who understand and support the Fancy’s positions on Canine Legislation.
  • Current Chair of the AKC Board of Directors Nominating Committee, having recently put forth a slate for the March 2026 AKC Board of Directors election.
  • Government Affairs Specialist, and registered lobbyist in the State of Georgia for over 25 years.
  • President and Lobbyist for the Georgia Canine Coalition.

I feel that my previous service to the Club, and my abilities in numerous canine related areas would be an asset to the CWCCA Board.  This would give me an opportunity to again serve and give back to the Club and the Breed I love.  As in my previous positions on the Board, I will always be available for members to ask questions and share with me any ideas or concerns they may have.

Respectfully,
Gail LaBerge

Kathy (Kathryn) Schwabe

I am excited and honored to be on this year’s ballot for a Board of Directors seat. I want to thank David Green, Melanie Marshall, Heather Masch, Kathy Davis and Diane Mann and so many more for encouraging and supporting me in this endeavor.

I have been in dogs for over 50 years, starting as an obedience person with an oversized Pembroke. I acquired my first Cardigan in 1987, Joined the CWCCA and never looked back! Despite having bred 70 some champions, BIS and Specialty winning dogs, what still makes me the happiest are the families that have discovered how wonderful our breed is to live with!

I have volunteered for our National Club, All- Breed, Performance and Regional clubs in various positions including President, Secretary, Training Director, Hospitality Chair, Show Chair and Board member. I am an AKC Certified Steward, and am frequently asked to mentor new Stewards. Before moving to North Carolina, I owned and operated a successful Boarding, Grooming and Training Facility. I am now semi-retired, Grooming on a part time basis and mentoring new Grooming business owners.

I hope to help the CWCCA expand its Public outreach, foster a stronger community, and enhance the overall experience for both members and their Cardigans. I believe that our first responsibility is to protect the future of the Cardigan Welsh Corgi, and that we can best do that through positive mentoring, expanded health research, open and transparent communication and encouraging member participation. I am excited to contribute to the growth and success of the club

Jeri Bon

I have been involved with Cardigans for over 25 years in both conformation and various performance venues.  I’m passionate about our breed and staying informed about both the rich history of our dogs, as well as investigating the ways that modern science may help us improve their health and wellbeing.  I feel strongly that dog clubs have an important role to play in the coming years with legislation and animal rights challenges to purebred dogs!

Editing Your Breeders' Directory Listing

Click on the green line that says “Click here to Edit Your Listing”:

You Breeders Directory Listing will open in a new tab.

At this point it is very similar to editing a word document.  At the top you will see icons related to text size, and in order those for Bold, Italic, Underscore, and Text color.  Edit as desired.  We suggest that if you are adding time-sensitive details that you add a line for the date that you have updated the listing.

When you are finished, just close the tab using the X at the top.

On the check out screen, enter in the box under Additional information, Order notes.

Editing Tables and Lists

Start by scrolling to the bottom of the table or list and clicking the Edit Rows button. Some frequently edited tables (e.g. dues entry) will come up already in the Editing mode.

The button line will change to New Row and Cancel. A pencil and a trashcan will appear to the left of each item.

Clicking on the trash can will delete a row, but you will receive a warning and confirmation box.

Clicking on the pencil will allow you to edit the data.

Scroll down to see all fields.

When you are done click on Update. If you decide not to change the record click on Cancel. And if you want to both update this record and add a new row you can click Apply and Add New.

Adding a new row works the same. You can Add a single record or keep adding by clicking Apply and Add New.

When you are finished you can click Cancel at the bottom of the table to make the pencils and trash cans disappear, though there is not really a reason to do so.
